Several years ago, a group of researchers interviewed people who had sought help for some kind of a problem.  About one-fifth of the problems centered around “personal adjustment difficulties,” 12 percent of the counselees had problems with their children, but a whopping 42 percent—almost half of those surveyed—reported that their problems centered around their marriages.
 
Marital Conflict is almost universal. Before marriage, people in love have a tendency to emphasize their similarities and overlook their differences. A common belief with many couples is that “our love will be different,” but tensions can often become more apparent when two people, with different backgrounds and personalities, begin living together through the commitment of a marital relationship.

Today, marital separation is common and there is a widespread belief that divorce can always be used as a fire escape, should marital conflicts get too hot to handle. “Irreconcilable differences” or “irretrievable breakdowns” become the stated causes for many divorces. In some areas, marriage can be legally terminated when one or both spouses simply decide that they no longer have a desire to stay married.

A Personal Wedding specializes in keeping marriages together. Our counselors are specifically trained in premarital and marital counseling from fully accredited Universities and Seminaries. Each counselor has received at least a duel Masters or higher degree in both Theology and Secular Psychology.  Some clients and couples may prefer the counselor to utilize only secular psychological techniques and methods.  Others may prefer a more integrated approach (integrating one’s theology with secular psychology), whatever your preference we can provide it for you.

Counseling is an important personal investment.  The standard fee is $125.00 per individual counseling session.  At A Personal Wedding, we currently provide these services to you for $85.00 per individual or couple counseling session .  Payments are due in full at the time counseling services are provided.
